Strings and Machines, Hugh Livingston

Hugh Livingston performs interactive music for cello and computers. Livingston is a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and a Performer-in-Residence at UC Berkeley. He is known for his innovations and creations in the fields of interpretation of the European, American and Asian literature of the past thirty years, as well as improvisation, Asian instrumental traditions, electronic music, and extended cello technique.
